"Pretty pictures don't make money." That's what my mum used to tell me as a kid making videos, and she was right. I've shot some of the ugliest ads in the world and watched them outsell the polished ones, because advertising isn't about how good something looks. It's about hitting the right objective.

I'm completely self taught. No film school, no marketing degree, no agency pedigree. I started out shooting for gyms and events, and only ever worked with businesses I felt were doing something genuinely good in the world. Somewhere along the way the videography turned into a real skill for building ads that convert, and the ads turned into a real skill for understanding how a business actually makes money: pricing, offers, positioning, all of it.
